2007 Vulcan Bike to Work Breakfast We invite you and your colleagues or business associates to join the Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation for the third annual Vulcan Bike to Work Breakfast on Tuesday, April 24, at the Grand Hyatt. Last year, we were pleased to feature a variety of speakers, including State Representative Ed Murray, King County Executive Ron Sims, Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels, and Group Health Cooperative CEO Scott Armstrong, et.al. Our tables were in high demand, attracting support at the Gold, Silver & Bronze levels from such businesses as Vulcan, Group Health Cooperative, Unico Properties, Key Bank, Lee & Hayes, Mithun, NBBJ, Point B Consulting, Third Place Books, Starbucks and Summit Capitol. After a very successful turnout last year, we are looking to do even greater things in our third year. Please join us in welcoming Sally Jewel, CEO of Recreational Equipment Incorporated (REI), as our keynote speaker. Sally will be sharing her insights on how bike commuting can be an easy, yet powerful tool for business leaders to make significant progress on the urban transportation issues facing their growing businesses. With the help of donations through individual contributions made by attendees, money raised at these events goes to the Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation programs, a Washington State 501 (c)(3) organization. With the continued support of guests, we are able to directly expand our efforts, offering such vital programs such as the popular Downtown Seattle Bicycle Commuter Education Series. This year, we hope to double the amount of money raised for these programs. Lend your support by purchasing a table or a seat at the Vulcan Bike To Work Breakfast and learn how with a small investment of time and leadership you or your company can improve its bottom line in a way that will yield lasting benefits. Such corporate responsibility not only demonstrates a commitment to the environment and making our cities more livable, it ensures a sustainable future for further growth in King County. With your stewardship and commitment to the community, we can make bike commuting mainstream…please join us for a fun, informative and inspirational event to kick off National Bike to Work Month! I encourage you to add your name to the list of visionary leaders shaping the future of our business community and region. Sincerely, Nate Glissmeyer
