Bike to School Day
Biking to school creates daily exercise habits, reduces car traffic and air pollution, and helps teach safe cycling habits. You, your child, and your school can join us for our month or day challenge!
By participating, you can make a difference for the environment and for your health. In 2011, 3300 elementary school students (and their awesome parents) from 34 different schools around the Seattle area participated in Cascade's Bike to School Month. In middle schools and high schools, 373 students biked 1979.2 miles!
Get dirty! On Saturday, Oct. 6, Trips for Kids Seattle, a Cascade program, in partnership with Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, will be hosting Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day at the new Duthie Hill Park in Issaquah. We'll start the day off with guided rides through the park, stop for a barbecue lunch, then check out a jump jam by local riders and racers including Team Dirt Corps. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. and finish up around 3 p.m. Contact Kat with questions. **All participants must have a waiver (PDF) signed by their parent or guardian.
Register through Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance.
Parking is available at the LDS church at 26529 SE Duthie Hill Road, Issaquah, 98029
Your gift to Trip for Kids will make a day on the mountain possible for a kid who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity. Thank you for your support!
