Activity Descriptions:

Rodeo Stunt Course

Show off your bike skills at this safety and stunt course for ages 12 and under. A bike rodeo usually includes a bike teeter totter, intersection practice, dodging rocks, slalom course, and a small jump (though items can be left out or substituted for our smaller bikers), as well as basic safety skills. More than just a way to show off how great you are, this course also prepares you for ways to ride more safely on sidewalks, dirt paths, and even on the road! **All participants must have a waiver (PDF) signed by their parent or guardian.

Treasure Hunt

What looks like a normal room full of booths or a big empty field --is actually a maze of clues and secrets. Complete the treasure hunt by finding the answers to all the clues hidden at the event and win great prizes.

Bike Art Table

There is more to this art table than glitter and magic markers. At our Art Table, you can make art that reuses bike parts in new and fun ways. Decorate bike number plates and recycle bike parts and inner tubes into bracelets, key chains, bike fairies, and any other creative ideas you might have. Or jazz up your bike for our Bike Parade!

Bike Parade

Decorate your bike at the Bike Art Table then join us for a parade around the racea short course at one of our events to kick off the celebration. **All Bike Parade participants must have a waiver (PDF) signed by their parent or guardian.

Bike Carnival

Come one, come all, to play at Cascade’s carnival with a twist. Step up and show your skill in our bike-themed games and win fun prizes. Examples of a few of our games: Go Fishin’ for a Bike, Penny Pitch, Ring a Sports Drink, and Wheelie of Fortune are just a few of the games. Win fun prizes.

Learn-2-Ride

Learn-2-Ride is our revolutionary technique to teach new riders how to get riding on two-wheels without breaking the teacher’s backs, like the traditional bent-over seat holding.

This method is great for kids wanting to take that next step from training wheels to two wheels AND for adults who are learning to ride for the first time.

This course focuses on maintaining rider balance and teaching the necessary skills one step at a time.

BikeMania!

This all-ages event will include a bike carnival, bike art table, bike parade, and rodeo stunt course - and that's not all! In partnership with Magnuson Community Center, Outdoors for All, and Retro Image Apparel Co, we will host TWO stunt shows, a Cat in the Hat bike safety program with free giveaways, and Tour de Magnuson guided rides. For the more competitively-minded, there will be a Kids (Cyclo)Cross ride. **To participate in any of our on-bike activities, all participants must have a waiver (PDF) signed by their parent or guardian.

Adaptive Cycle Test Area

Outdoors for All will be bringing in their adaptive cycles for kids to test ride. **All participants must have a waiver (PDF) signed by their parent or guardian.

Earth Day Mountain Bike Ride

Mountain bike ride and trail maintenance party for ages 12-17 at Saint Edward State Park from 10am to 3pm. **All participants must have a waiver (PDF) signed by their parent or guardian.
