Bike to Work Volunteering

We need hundreds of volunteers to staff the Stations, help with the afternoon bike rallies and for data entry and many other fun duties. Check out the times and dates below, then contact Diana Larson to sign up.


Date and Time: Monday, May 15th, 3 - 8pm, (4-8 volunteers needed).
Task or Event: Packing party for BikeToWorkDay station materials.
Where: 7400 Sand Point Way NE, Building 30/The work shop.
How Long: 5 hours.
Doing What: Gathering together and labeling materials for stations. Light meal to be provided.

Date and Time: Wednesday, May 17th, 11 am - 6:30pm , (2 shifts: 11 am - 3pm and 3 - 6:30pm, 2 volunteers per shift).
Task or Event: BikeToWorkDay station materials pickup.
Where: 7400 Sand Point Way NE, Building 30/The work shop.
How Long: 4 hours per shift.
Doing What: Check the BikeToWorkDay station material out to the lead of each station.

Date and Time: Friday, May 19th, 6 - 10 am (1 lead volunteer).
Task or Event: BikeToWorkDay station.
Where: Greenlake, NE Ravenna Blvd and Woodlawn Ave NE.
How Long: 4 hours.
Doing What: Set up the station, sell t-shirts, count riders, hand out material; free water bottles, Clif bars, and other.

Date and Time: Friday, May 19th, 6 - 10 am (2 volunteers).
Task or Event: BikeToWorkDay station.
Where: Ravenna, 20th Ave NE and NE 61st St.
How Long: 4 hours.
Doing What: Set up the station, count riders, hand out material; free water bottles, Clif bars, and other.

Date and Time: Friday, May 19th, 8:30am - 1pm, (2 volunteers).
Task or Event: BikeToWorkDay station materials check in and drop off.
Where: 7400 Sand Point Way NE, Building 30/The work shop.
How Long: 4.5 hours.
Doing What: Check in BikeToWorkDay station material from the lead of each station.

Date and Time: Thursday, May 24th, 1st shift, 2 - 4:30pm set up (1 volunteer); 2nd shift, 4 - 7:30pm (2 volunteers).
Task or Event: UWHubbub.
Where: Brooklyn Ave and BG Trail.
How Long: depends on the shift worked.
Doing What: 1st shift set up: light lifting, chairs, unloading material, setting up canopies. 2nd shift, handing out goodies, talking with people and helping with the break down.
