Rider #7 from BEER (Bicycles Eliminating Ethanol at Raleigh): If riding a bicycle causes you to have an inferiority complex because you've (at least in part) bought in to our culture's system of placing anyone on two wheels on the lowest rung of the social latter; please don't think that acting like a pompous jerk or some kind of 2-wheeled militant activist or extremist while out on the road and looking down upon those who look down on you will fix this flaw within our society. Riding in the middle of the road when you don't need to and acting like a jerk may temporarily help you feel better about yourself and like you're somehow improving things for other cyclists by standing up for our rights, but really that is the very behavior that causes many motorists to despise and become irritated with their two-wheeled fellow commuters. Richard from Expeditors Team C.O.B.: find a scenic and relaxing route, even if its much longer.
Nicole from WPZ: Uphill in All Directions: If you don't want to bike because of all the hills in Seattle, invest in an electric bike.
